Autumn Elegance.

I have mentioned previously, that my drive to work is very scenic. I enjoy it during the course of the whole year, in every season, even in winter. But it is most spectacular in the fall. Often, in the past I have wished to stop on the road just to capture the magnificent colours of the autumn foliage, but I never did.
Weather-vise, last week was absolutely picture perfect; blue skies, sunny and wind still. The night brought the first frost and the foliage turn is increasing with each passing day. One day on my way to work, I took snapshots out of the car and documented my autumn drive for the first time in pictures.
Hope you enjoy it too (please click the below to enlarge).

Beautiful photos - I'm very envious of your scenic drive to work!

It's VERY wet and grey here today -I think I shall be cosying up with the cats this lunch-time instead of my usual walk!

Your photos remind me of how much i miss autumn. There is a street in toronto where the trees form a canopy over the road beneath. For one weekend every year it is the most beautiful place in teh city with flame coloured leaves forming the sky above you.

Thank you for reminding me of that.

No wonder you love your drive to work in the fall. It is glorious. The years that I drove to college each morning took me ago a stretch of road where the branches of hardwood trees stretched across and blotted out the sun. In the fall, it was a canopy of color. I loved that piece of the drive. I don't get many opportunities to drive that way any longer. I will need to ride over that way in a few more weeks to see if it is still as pretty in the autumn as I remember.

See why I would really like to experience at least one Autumn? Gorgeous orange, red and gold nature! I think the color changing leaves is what I think I would enjoy the most about this season. Good thing I have friends like you who not only enjoy taking nature pictures, but that are kind enough to share them with those of us who have never been to that place, and have never experience seasons like Autumn.

THAT is something we really don't have here in Southern California! LOVE the changing colors of the leaves! GORGEOUS!!

This is gorgeous! I'm so jealous - here, the trees don't turn until very late, and then they just turn brown and fall off :)

Beautiful colors against such a perfect autumnal blue sky! Did you take these shots from inside your car, or did you get outside to take them?

The drive to my old job was beautiful too. Sadly, I never took the time to notice until one day I took a long walk with my pups and really took the time to enjoy everything I saw everyday but never really looked at.

I am so in love with this time of year! I've always loved my November birthday because I just love the way that nature decorates in all my favorite colors for me!

Thanks for putting up these beautiful pics/thoughts!

The colors are truly mind blogging. These colors provides completely different backdrop for your day to day life as against where we live.
Softer colors will look very pretty in such back drop while in the rough yellow backdrop of our place bright colors gels better ....
Nice pictures! me too like taking pictures while driving. mostly at traffic signals
