Almost Golden.

As we are reaching the mid of the fall season, this also means the imminent peaking of the foliage turn. Right now, the nature here is bursting with warm colours, saturating the landscape in every shade of my favorite tints of the sunset and the earth.

This week was the week of the fall holidays, meaning most Danes were off work and school. They could not have asked for better weather. The days were sunny and still, the nights very cold, perfect conditions to intensify the colour onset. I brought my camera with me every day to work, taking pictures constantly, as I could not help but marvel over the incredible beauty surrounding me. It amazes me each time the effect the sun and the light has on me, it lifts my spirits in an unusual way.

My birch tree is probably one week away from its absolute most beautiful display of almost entirely golden. Fearing though that he weather is about to turn for the worse, today's update might be one of he most stunning ones to come.

Oh, the rainbow is such a wonderful surprise. Before and after pictures are so much fun.

I HAVE to start having my camera with me at all times again--I see such beautiful sights as I drive in to town and back these days but with no camera, I can't capture it all. Now, you had a camera on you at the right time, to be able to capture the rainbow over the autumnal landscape!
We have had "cold-enough-to-snow" temps and torrential rain the last few days, so I fear many of the leaves(and apples) are early off the trees after this--not so nice out there.
I am glad for you and the rest in your country, that you had such nice weather to enjoy during this late season holiday week, though.
(sorry this and my other comments lately, are so long...)

Fall has always been my favorite season; I’m more of a cold weather person. As the Sun sets its orangey glow seems to illuminate the cornucopia of colors on the trees. I notice that you take advantage of sunsets in many of your photos. The rainbow in this pic is the real ‘piece de résistance.’

What a refreshing outlook you have on life, Protege! I wish we were neighbors. I'd be hanging out over at your place for coffee and conversation! :)

I love rainbow because of its beauty despite the fact that you can see it, but you cannot never touch it...

Oh I do hope you get to take one last photo of your birch tree before the worst of the weather takes hold. You have the rainbow though - however fleeting - there is something so special about rainbows. Great photo!

That certainly is the most extreme change so far. And that rainbow image up top... wow!

So cold and dreary here, but I like it! It's supposed to be nice this week, so maybe we'll get to see some of the fall colors... hope so! xo

What a difference in color a week has made in your birch tree! You took a great picture of the rainbow as well.

I miss those autumn colours so much! I was back in the UK a few weeks ago and hoped to take some pictures of the wonderful colours but it turned out I was there after an Indian Summer and nothing had turned to gold!

I envy you, this time of year was always my favourite and now I live in a place without seasons! Sigh.

=Keith,

=Nessa,
glad you enjoy my progressive photography. I love rainbows, this one did turn out pretty well.;) xo

=Tina,
please leave as many comment and as long comments as you like, they always make me happy.;)
As for the rainbow, can you believe that I did not even see it until I checked the picture on the camera? Suddenly it caught my eye and then I took a few shots of it. This one here is anyway the first one I took, as that one was the best. It was magical and it appeared out of nowhere last Monday morning, just when I needed it most...
xoxo

=Scribe816,

=Hilary,
thnak you; it was very surreal when it apperaed out of nowhere in my shot. I did not even notice it until after I took the pictures. It was there, as if by magic.;)
Your visits always warm my heart.;) xo

=Diane,
wishing you a lovely autumn week ahead with a bit of more sun and colours, my dear friend.;) xo

=stevie,
I guess now the change is increasing and gets more obvious by each day. I am hoping for more sunny Sundays as sun brings out the gold in the foliage.;) Thank you for your always kind words.;)xo

=Tom,
sorry to hear that you missed the turn of the foliage, a beauty I can understand you must long for. But look at it from the bright side, you are privileged enough to have exotic plants and tropical weather at all times and occasionally, you can just climb the mountain and get snow.;) You are truly one of the lucky ones.;)

What a difference a week made on your tree! Beautiful golden color on it now.
Like you, I'm now carrying my little camera all the time. And not that there is plenty or different things to look at on the routine path to work every day, but there might be a "must take" moment and I want to be prepare :-)

=Claudia,
I have realized that the best photo-moments occurred when I did not have my camera with me. Luckily, my phone can take pictures, but my camera still rules.;) Glad you like the change in my birch tree.;) xoxo

=Donna,
