Cat And Mouse.
When I moved into my house about six years ago, the friends that helped me move bought me a door mat as a fun "house warming" present. As I did not have any at that time, they considered it to be just a small present, actually more for fun than anything else. They saw it and thought it would fit in as a temporary one. It is fitting my house perfectly color wise, as it has a little red mouse on it (and my door is red on the inside) and a grey cat and background (and the door is grey on the outside).
The funny thing is that I have now had this mat since then and I am not thinking of replacing it either. I love it. And so does Batcat.
I have heating in the floor in the hallway and the pipes must be running just under the door. Therefore this doormat is a very warm place in the wintertime. If there is no fire in the fireplace, this is his preferred place to lie on. As he did today.;)

Maybe I need a mat and a Batcat!
Sweet and warm!
Would you consider a timeshare of Batcat?! He is a darling, and I love the mat too - What a lovely welcome from your neighbours!
This is kind of funny and silly,
but I got an e-mail in my in box from L.L.Bean and the title was
"Is it really wrong to love a doormat?".
I didn't erase the e-mail because the title seemed so whimsical.
Well, I had to share that with someone, and now that I did, I can erase that e-mail!!!
PS I just deleted it, and this time I took a look it the doormat. It wasn't nearly as cute as yours!
Best wishes,
A true cat mat! I too have a doormat with a cat on it. :-)
I used to ride horses as a kid myself. To this day, I do miss it. Maybe I should take it up again? =]

I love this mat! This picture of Batcat looks a lot like my kitty Nomad - they both have that white fur on their fronts.
Such a pretty poser, your Batcat on the mat! And seriously...I am envious of your heated flooring.
There a little mention of mice and cats at my blog today, too.
awww very cute Batcat. I really really want to have a cat too. They are sweet and lazy and adorable looking! :)
oh mi! you have a tuxedo cat as well-- our cats are somehow related then.. haha.. I just love cats they're so mysterious, cuddly-- temperamental-- which makes them the perfect house buddy.

=Tina, yes, he is always relaxed and watching him is so very relaxing.;) I am off now to read your post.;))
=Noelle, cats are great pets; very independent and cuddly.;)) They fit me perfectly.;)
=Valentine, yes a tuxedo cat!;)) That is correct. And I agree, cats are very independent, and a bit unpredictable, which make them mysterious. They are also so elegant and sleek. Cat is a perfect animal.
A tag! You know I LOVE tags, I will ever get tired of them, so please keep tagging me.;) I am off to your place to read all about it. I posted your last tag this past Thursday, in case you missed it.;)
Please hug Batcat for me - Inul.
Awwww... cute. I love doormats. I always think that's a little weird, but I do :)
=Mahmud, Batcat is saying thank you and sending hugs back to Inul; today I am posting your tag!;))
=Diane, I SO get what you mean.;)))
I love how kitties find the warmest place in the house, no matter where it is. I saw this cartoon once that started with a cat lying in the sun that was shining through the window. The next few frames of the cartoon were of the cat following the sun spot as the day went on. Finally the sun spot was off of the floor and on the wall, and there was the cat, stuck to the wall, defying gravity, but still in the sun spot.
Mel, that carton is right on! That is exactly how it is with cats.;))
Ok, I meant cartoon!:P
