April Awakening.

Today is a simply gorgeous day. A glorious spring day, when the nature is celebrating the return of life, as it renews itself, gaining energy from the warmth of the vital sun.

Even thought the air is cold, the northern wind has brought dry air and pristine blue skies. It feels as a true onset of the summer season is no longer a distant, at times unreal destination.

I removed my garden furniture from its winter storage this morning, making my front, east facing patio much more inviting suddenly - a perfect spot for a morning cup of coffee. In the process of restoring it back to its rightful glory and place, I noticed that April has brought a true awakening to my surroundings. Daffodils are now in full bloom at last and all the bushes and trees are displaying the first buds and shoots.

In a few weeks, the first green hue will cover all the shrubs, signifying the culmination of the spring season.

Well, Zuzana, that was fun to read! And I am glad for you, not mentioning the fact that I am also jealous. I know that we will experience the same soon, but it still seems so far away. At least three weeks I would say, at the very least...

Let the sunshine warm you inside and out. My daffs are all gone but my Dogwood is covered in blossoms (how is yours doing?). I would love to join you on that patio, I even have a cup of fresh coffee in my hand.
Have a lovely sunny weekend.

I love your daffodils! Someone gave me some daffodils flowers recently, I put them in water and they opened right up. So pretty!

It's been a chilly spring. Yesterday the sun was out a bit in the afternoon but it was still chilly. Hoping today will be warmer.

I haven't seen any rosebuds yet but I'm seeing new shoots everywhere so that's a good sign!

Oh Zuzana you have a way with words. But you were right, the sun is shining brigtly but the wind felt freezing cold to me.

But the windows are clean, a part of the garden is taken care of and now it is time for a HOT cup of tea. LOL

Have a great saturday evening.

Your flowers ar so beautiful. Ours are slowly coming up. Just saw the first sprouts of some new purple tulips we planted. We were beginning to think they weren't going to come up. It's sunny, but a bit chilly here today. I like the idea of having morning coffe on the patio. We usually just spend evenings out on ours, but that's a great idea : )

Hi Zuzana,
You do have such pretty flowers. I don't have any. I hope to get some for my shed's flower boxes done this coming week. It's sunny here today but on the cool side. I have to sweep my screened in porch daily - there is yellow pollen on everything. Our dogwoods (a pair) in the front yard are starting to bud out. So is our River Birch in our back yard. Hubby is meeting with our taxman this morning so I'm blogging. I couldn't believe the hits I had yesterday on my blog all due to my joining Cindy's Romantic Home Show and Tell Friday. I've never had that many new visitors or page hits. It was amazing. I guess I should join more of these. What are you doing this weekend? Whatever you do have fun.

Hugs,
Teacup Lane (Sandy)

Dear Zuzana,

I am so glad for the two of you. I know what a hard winter you both endured.

Here in Northern California yesterday the weather was very warm but today it is freezing cold, windy, not a bit of blue in the sky and we are expecting rain later.

Your collage of images is beautiful.

Wishing you all the very best,
Egmont

aaahhh yes, finally the patio furniture is in place. That always is special for me. I worked outside today while LadyCat worked inside. Things are looking pretty good around here. Today has been a great day and LadyCat and I plan to have a fun time out on the patio talking, laughing, with a glass of wine by candle light!!
Have a great Sunday, Zuzana!

We too had a glorious day but it is a season in decline. The furniture is away. The trees rustle restlessly, almost eager to loose their leaves.

It's looking pretty much the same around here. What a breath of fresh air, eh? Another fine collage, Z. :)

It must be great for you guys to see spring and summer with the teeth tattering temparatures in winter and snow. Pretty opp to our situation. I always yearn for some rain with temparatures that reach the peak to some 45 deg celicius in summers easily!!!

Hi Zuzana! I'm Back! The Weather Here in England is also nice.Do you get many bluebells in your neck-of-the-wood? Because of the bad winter, Bluebells are 3 weeks late this year in England

It sounds like you had a lovely spring day Zuzana - glad to see your daffodils are at long last blooming and buds are appearing on your shrubs and trees. We had a very nice weekend too with blue skies and quite warm temperatures.
I set up the patio table and chairs today and we had lunch in the garden!
I loved your post on the violet dawn - wonderful photos - I have never seen a dawn quite like that!

Have a good evening:)

Flashback Friday put a huge smile on my face this week. We recently watched Never Ending Story with my kids. It was so fun to watch it again after all of these years.

My little green area is not as pretty as yours, but I was siting in it last weekend, just in awe of all the flowers and greens around, and how lovely they are in our summer. Little bees, butterflies and even a humming bird! :-o I wish it could be like this year-round. Lovely pictures as always Zuzana! very inviting :-)
