The slight increase in our daylight these days means that the sun is not just setting later, but it is rising earlier and earlier each day as well.
Last week, for the first time since last October, I woke up to a true imminent sunrise. The sky in the southeast was on fire. As the world was coming alive and gearing up for the fast paced motion of daily life, I remained still for an instant.
Watching the calm ocean in the distance, in such an obvious contrast to the stress of the morning commute, I relished in the moment of absolute tranquility, as the rising sun drenched the neighbourhood in a fragile winter morning light...

What beautiful photos. I have to confess to being fast asleep at sunrise! Days are getting longer here in England tho. Have a good day!
That's a lovely description and photo. It will be so encouraging for you to have that glimpse of more daylight hours. I confess, I have been remembering my Swedish home and missing it.
Hope your week is a happy one.
Yes, the light is returning slowly but surely. I notice it when I take the kids to school. No more dark darkness, the sun is giving her light during our snow walk.
Have a great day and return home safely.
Wonderful photos! Thanks!
I have a big collection of sunrise and sunset photos. I would like to upload them. Hope you will like.
Beautiful! I noticed last evening for the first time that the sun was setting later. We were just sitting down to dinner at dusk, and it had been completely dark just a week before at that time. Yay!
Breathtaking photos!
Thank you for sharing them.
I so love the sunrise and very seldom miss it as I always take early morning walks.
Have a wonderful day, Zuzana.

Beautiful photos! With being sick the past two weeks I have missed reading your blog and experiencing Denmark. :-) I have heard that you all are getting more snow! We have a lot of snow over here, too.
Hugs...
I've not experienced this yet...I'm looking forward to it so much! We had more snow today....aargh. But the sun shines!

Sigh.. a lovely way to wake up. Beautiful photos as always.
What a TREAT Zuzana! You have captured the pure beauty!
Thanks for the reminder that "Absolute tranquility " is available if we look for the opportunities. gorgeous photos, Zuzana.
i love watching and following the "movement" of the sun [so to speak] - and each day now seems just a minute or so more of its light as winter way too slowly moves out of the way for spring - the past few evening sunsets have been absolutely breathtaking - with the sun a huge crimson red ball just sliding slowly under the horizon -
thanks so much for sharing your wonderful photos!
Gorgeous photos, as always. I've been noticing that the sun seems to be staying out a little bit longer too.
Don't forget to pick up your award from my blog! Looking forward to seeing the list of what makes you happy!

As you get a little more sunshine we are enjoying a little less each day :)
Beautiful shots. It is nice to enjoy a peaceful sunrise.
Poor Tuesday
I watched the sun come up yesterday morning. It looked almost the same.
Dear Zuzana,
There is something about the sun creeping up on the edge of the horizon, shifting from darkness to a rainbow of colours until the sun overpowers these colours and drenches everything in a range of yellow-gold.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful photographs with us,
Egmont
Oh my goodness Z,....I am the worst blog friend in the world. You have documented so many wonderful things in the forever that it has been since I last visited. We were out of town, and then we had visitors in town. (Excuses, excuses.)
I am so happy for you that the days are getting longer. That there is light at the end of the tunnel. I know that you live to soak up the sunshine.
You have posted so many amazing things lately, but I am most enchanted by your post on lifes unforgetable moments. Your post itself was magical in the way that you caught the essence of the feeling that those moments capture.
Anyhoo,...I hope that you are well and happy. I really like the new page layout. So chic!:):)
