Winter and Spring.

What a difference a day can make. Yesterday was a beautiful, sunny day and Spring was in the air. The light is slowly returning and we have gained almost three hours of light since the winter solstice. The sun is moving higher up in the sky and once again, I can watch it set in the extreme southwest.
However, today, Winter was trying to remind us that she is not done just quiet yet. Like a guest that never wants to leave, she will be around for at least another six weeks.

Lovely photos, Z. We keep getting those reminder throughout March and occasionally into April. I'm so looking forward to the warmth though. Luckily for me, I can always find it here. :)

Well, you know here in the states on Feb 2...Punxy Phil...the groundhog makes his prediction! And he did say 6 more weeks of Winter!! We did get a tease of Spring last week, but its returned to some normal Winter temps.
I hope you had a great Valentines!
We went to a movie & dinner...now it's Sunday and we are going to our fave Indian rest. for brunch.
Have a great week!

When I come visit you, you're gonna nickname me 'Winter' ;)

It's chilly here again today... but that's OK. It's still a good day :).

=Hilary, that compliment means so much coming from a talented photographer such as yourself.;) Yes, you are right, maybe mid April we can finally breath out and expect spring.;))

=Lulda, the famous groundhog! I miss that tradition, it doesn’t exist here. So I guess 6 weeks more to go, huh. Well, it could be worse, after all, February is half way done.;)) I hope you have had a nice brunch! Sounds like your Saturday was lovely.;))

=Diane Miss Winter sounds good; cool, mysterious and serene.;))

=Mel, thank you, I like the one of the sunset. I love when the sun returns and I can watch it set once again.;)

=Holly, yes, patience is the word. And I really will take you up on that offer of a visit in the desert.;)) Thank you:;))

=Noelle, I am sure you must be so happy to have an eternal summer where you live. Lucky you, I say.;)) Thank you for the compliment and I hope you had a wonderful Sunday, sweetie.;))
