After a very cold, breezy but sunny week, it is raining. It is a gentle, spring rain that is so vital for plants and flowers, as they continue on their renewed cycle of growth.
A drizzle at the best, when the wind is absent and the air saturated with earthy scents of soil and fresh foliage. As it drenches my surroundings, it leaves behind drops of water, resembling scattered pearls, as if some gentle being passed through in a hurry, leaving behind magical beads of a precious necklace...

Colour sure has arrived at your place. Just beautiful, Z.
Ahhh... one of my favorite things is rain drops on flowers and leaves. So refreshing and beautiful. I love to see movies that capture this moment in time with rain drops settling on nature's beauty with wonderful musical orchestration. Have a great weekend!

mmm...i love that smell of earth and foilage after a rain...it brings comfort to me...hope you hae a great saturday!
Your photos are so vivid and clear. The pansies are the healthiest looking ones ever. Nice photos.
Beautiful photos! They remind me of the song from 'The Sound of Music' that goes..."raindrops on roses...".
Have a great weekend : )
You know how to put down the words, Zuzana.
Here on my Danish isle it was 7 degrees celsius at 10.00 am. The wind was blazing its fury and the rain. Oh well, let me stop right here.
I have my cup of tea, listen to some music and reading about your love for nature. What more could I wish for.
Have a fantastic weekend with but most likely without sunshine.
Elizabeth
I'm sitting out on my porch Zuzana looking at your beautiful rain drop mosaic as I listen to the birds singing. Your collage is just refreshing. It's another pretty spring day here - clouds are moving in for rain today (forecasted) but none of that dreaded humidity yet. Birds are bathing in the birdbath. I have laundry to do today. And sorting and putting away of clothes removed from our RV. Hubby may go fishing tomorrow. We use to live for the weekends in our working years now we don't even know what day of the week it is most days. Have a lovely weekend and Mother's Day!
The tulip made me smile...when I was just 15, I bought a lipstick that colour and when I came home, my Dad went mad and made me wash it off. So that was the end of my sexy sophisticated look, LOL
How interesting, your first pic is of a ‘Red’ tulip. It appears whether inside or outside, red has its dominating place in your environment.

The following line belongs in a children’s storybook…”it leaves behind drops of water, resembling scattered pearls, as if some gentle being passed in a hurry, leaving behind magical beads of a precious necklace...”

Very imaginative with a magical quality. This posting was very short, but spoke volumes.
As ever, excellent photography and lovely prose. It's always a pleasure to visit blog.
Gorgeous pictures, especially the tulip and pansies!
I love your post today - so magical!
Life is water, as that say. I love the rain for that very reason.
Beautiful photos and ode to the blessing of life sustaining water.
Oh I so agree Zuzana. I love gentle spring rain especially when sunshine appears between the showers.
Unfortunately we've had rather a soaking for the past couple of days and my veg beds are saturated - we really need sun now but instead there is a heavy veil of grey cloud above us and is set to continue for a couple more days yet - sigh!
But yes, droplets of rain on flowers and foliage always looks so pleasing. Lovely collage.
Have a wonderful Sunday.

PS
Zuzana, the answer to your question on my post - I think its either an azalea or rhododendron (is there a difference - not sure?!) - the photo was taken in the gardens of Blickling Hall - not in my garden alas!
lovely words from a lovely person.
love the looks of everything with droplets on them.
Beautifully written, and your mosaic is wonderful, Zuzana! I am still waiting for the first little flower to bloom here... soon?
Wonderful mosaic of such beautiful flowers.
Such gorgeous flowers my dearest Zuzana..that beautiful red tulip has totally stolen my heart...
Hope your weekend was wonderful!
Much love: Evi
Such vibrant beauty! It seems to last longer in cool, wet weather.
I’ve enjoyed looking over your blog. I came across it through another blog I follow, and I’m glad I did. I am now a follower of yours as well. Feel free to look over my blog and perhaps become one as well.
"leaving behind magical beads of a precious necklace...'--simply a perfectly "magical" way to describe it...beautiful words that I will carry with me today...And the tulip? Extraordinary! You are such an incredible photographer. I love this! ~Janine XO
Everything smells so great after a Spring rain. Thanks for the beautiful collage. Your garden is gorgeous.
Have a great week,

Breathtaking visuals. As Ladykat commented, even I thought of the song from Sound of Music.
The change in the weather is lovely to behold. Zuzana, it would have been great if on the photos, you could write the names of the flowers. Most of them are not found in our landscape.
Have a glorious week ahead.
Joy and peace,
Susan
I've tried to capture rain drops before, but have failed. Your photos are gorgeous! My camera is definitely in need of an update. Doesn't it feel fresh and new after a Spring rain? that is how I feel when it's just rained at the end of the summer season: plants get greener, and go through a second bloom, all fresh and cool.
have a lovely day!
hugs
Wow, are all these flowers in your yard? Can tell that you love flowers:)
