Prelude To A Love Affair.

Mister Summer came for a brief visit this week. His sudden presence helped putting our fifth month back on track, preventing it from being the coldest May on record.

Indeed, with temperatures colder than in December, the beginning of this last month of spring had put our nature on hold. As much as its progress leaped forward in the end of April, it stopped abruptly once we reached May. Again, we are about four weeks behind and the difference as compared to last year is astounding.

Thus, this brief but vital warm-up seems to have done what it intended to do, as it spurred on the green growth and the sudden bloom. Furthermore, aside from lifting the natural progress, the third season's visit lifted our spirits as well. Sun, blue skies and absence of wind together with presence of warm air - these are the perfect ingredients for a prelude to my favorite time of the year.
The Summer.
Thus it gets to be male in my imagination, as I am involved in an everlasting love affair with this season.

For the first time in ten months, the arrival of gentleman Summer indeed feels yet again imminent.

We are finally warming up enough to start our veggie/herb garden. We have our flower gardens in and this week we should have temps in the 80's. I can't wait to plant this weekend and do more with our flower garden!

Gorgeous mosaic & writing, Zuzana!
Our Winter, which is usually 7 months long, lasted 8 months this year. I am wondering if our Spring, Summer and Fall will be cooler too.
Enjoy your weekend, dear friend!

Beautiful summer mosaic! I do love summer also! As a child I couldn't wait for school to be out as it heralded the arrival of summer where I could run free, barefoot; play outdoors all day long! Even my favorite foods are of summer's bounty. Finally we have a weekend with no RAIN!!! It is glorious! Have a lovely weekend, Zuzanna! And may summer finally arrive in your part of the world!

I love that cloud picture in the middle!

Me, I had a chance to sit out on my balcony and sweat yesterday. Mr. Summer gets around. ;-)

Today it's cloudy and a bit of rain.

I'm rather annoyed with Mr. Summer at the moment. I'm feeling like he's abandoned me. It's SNOWING here right now and it's actually sticking!!! Hopefully it'll melt soon and Mr. Summer will be back to visit shortly.

I am loving your collage today, so very pretty!

Spring has been very elusive in terms of temps and rain this year, but he flowers hadn't noticed.

Zuzana, we've had a weird spring too-everything came up 3 weeks early then had to battle 2 weeks of cold, windy, frosty days and nights. I think we made it through! Mr. Summer, indeed! I love him too. I come alive again, get out my kayak and slow down.
I have to plant something each time I have a few hours to get outside...
Lovely Mr. Summer!

It was steamy hot here yesterday and today. I'll send some of my weather your way if you'll send some of yours to me. I think it is supposed to be 95 tomorrow.

It's lovely and sunny here in England and I am getting up early to walk the dogs before it gets too hot. Alas, on our little island, good weather seldom lasts long and it will soon be raining again :)
Love the collage of bright photos.

Summer is definitely arriving here and I fear it will get much warmer... it's already 122ish most days and humid, humid, humid - I am looking forward to winter again!

I feel as if we are just on the cusp of true summer here--heard the first cricket the other night!

I love that perfect puffy cloud in the blue sky in your photo collage.

I hope you have plenty of blue sky days ahead, Zuzanna!

It certainly does make a difference! Today we have 24 C, a lush green garden and bird song! And soon I will clean the barbecue so we can have the lovely marinated chicken later with a glass of red. How does that sound? Mmmm aaah ...

I do detect a thunder head in there too? Nothing like a vigorous spring shower.

I can sympathize with you in your climate, but summer here is not something to look forward to. I think our spring is closer to your summer. No place is completly perfect. We tend to run to North Carolina fairly often to escape the heat.
All the same, I hope you have the best summer yet.

Oh I feel so bad for you because I know just how much you LOVE this particular gentleman. Well maybe he is second in line after a certain Irishman. ;);) I wish I could send some of my sunmmer your way as some of our days have been record heat.(yikes)

I guess patience really is a virtue,...I hope for your sake that you don't have to be patient for too long!

I hope your week is wonderful! -Holly

I am smiling when I read that some of you dislike the oppressive heat of the summer in your part of the world. Yes indeed, we always want what we do not have. I wish our summers would be just a bit warmer, instead they are elusive and short.;)

Thank you all for your always kind visits and compliments on my photography, both very much appreciated.

Xoxo
