"Anklets".

In my late teens I used to wear a thin, silver chain around my ankle. I never took it off and I loved the small ornament that would shine so brightly against my tanned skin in the summer.
Ankle bracelets, or "anklets" come and go when it comes to fashion. They originate from India, although today they are worn as accessories by women all over the world.
I have recently received a few different ones as a gift and although I have not thought of wearing ankle bracelets for over two decades, suddenly I am feeling like a teenager all over again.

So pretty! I have chubby ankles, though (well, I have chubby all-over ;) and they don't look right on me. I did wear one years ago, though, and loved it.

Well, I'm no teenager, but I still wear a thin sterling anklet! I love the way it looks with a fresh pedicure and flipflops! :)

Back in the day, I knew a woman who wore an anklet, too. As a guy, let me say, definitely an attractive piece of jewelry to see a woman wearing. If you want my advice—though I can't see why you would—go for it! :-)

When I was very small, I would take my mom's bangle bracelets and pull them over my feet and wear them as ankle bracelets, but I don't think I've had any since then. Maybe if Diane comes to see you, I'll make one for you for her to bring over.

I used to wear them too. Now I'd rather hide than call attention to my legs but it sure looks great on you. :)

There was a time when I would not leave the house without an anklet. Now I have fallen out of the habbit of wearing them. I have several. I really should just go put one on. What a lovely gift idea! It does seem like an item that would be so very 'you'!!:)

=Jeanne,
glad you like them.;)) And yes, I do wear them again, when the weather is sunny enough for sandals.;))
So glad to have you back again.;))xo

=Jill,
yes, that is my favorite too.;) Hope you can find yours again.;)) They are a very special and a bit exotic adornment a I feel.;)) Hope the rain made everything fresh over at your end.;)) xo

=Tereza,
please do try it! It would look great on you, who is so young and fresh! And still have good legs.;)) xo

=Mahmud,
your comments are always the best! Make me smile every time.;)) Yes, who doesn't want that young and loving feeling, right?;)

=Diane,
I too am debating with myself whether I can still get away with it, considering my legs are a far cry from what they used to be, but then I go, and so what? It is now on never.;)) Always glad when you stop by, my dear friend.;)) xo

=Betsy,
how wonderful! And I agree, they do look best on a cared for foot, for parties with lovely dresses.;) Or with just a pair of comfy jeans to work, as I tend to wear them most of the time.:)))

=Tim,
I always greatly appreciate to have a mans opinion on subjects such as this one.;)) And yours made me smile.;)) I hope you still know that "chic lady".;))
Thank you for stopping by, please come back again.;))

=Mel,
I think you were one fashioned lady already as a little girl.;)) Ah, what a lovely gesture, such a gift would be the best one ever, thank you for even considering this.;))
xoxo

=Hilary,
always LOVE to read what you have to say.;)) You know, my legs are definitely not made for skirts and lovely jewelry anymore, but then again I think, they are mine and they work.;))
I am sure an anklet would still look good on you as well.;))
xoxo

=Holly,
I am happy I reminded you of this and you, who are so beautiful, you sure would still look gorgeous with any foot/leg adornment!;))
Yes, the gift was from my man and you know how good he is at knowing what fits me. He knows it better than me at times.;))
Lovely comment as always dear friend.;)
xo

=Denise,
glad you like them, that means a lot coming from a fashionable girl such as you.;))

Oooohhh...lovely feet and sandals! And the anklets are beautiful, too--just the right accessory for you and your sense of style.
I have never in my life worn an ankle bracelet, however.

Glad I made you smile. Yes, I do still know her, though she and I live far away from each other. But we email, Facebook, and visit.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm rediscovering blogging, and so yeah, I'll probably be back.
