Fall Flamboyance.

Looking out of my grand windows, I can see that my surroundings display the last of fall flamboyance. The landscape is painted in golden, red and copper hues, which shine in strong contrast to the alternate grey or deep blue skies.

This stunning display always occurs suddenly and is very short lived. Autumn has passed its mid reign, thus it's passion appears confined into only a few days of splendor, almost a showdown in colours of brilliance and beauty.
I relish in these last days of October, when I feel as if I have stepped into masterpieces of art, created by unseen artists, in lustrous nuances of earthy tones.

Before long, strong storms will rip through this dazzling, painted landscape, stripping trees and bushes of their ornate attire, leaving them standing bare, instigating a sense of late fall nostalgia...

The transition into the penultimate month of the year signifies a certain awareness of seasonal change ahead. Before we however move into the final part of the third season, October finale leaves us with a glorious, but soft daylight saturated by colours of mature autumn foliage and nights with lights of jack-o-lanterns, conveying the sensation of the mysterious and the esoteric.

Your second photo with the green trees over the roadway took my breath away. I am hoping to catch a few more fall photos this week-end since our nights have become much chillier and I know it's only a matter of days before the trees are completely bare.

I have been walking through your blog, reading many of your lovely posts. Your photography is so good and the way you write is also enchanting. I love the fall with all its splendid colors. Your pictures of the red, yellow and golden trees are outstanding. What a great area you live in to witness this beauty. Tomorrow we will drive to the North Georgia Mountains hoping that there is still some fall color left. I don’t think I’ll find as many lovely trees as you show here though.

Thank you so much Zusana. Your pictures are beautiful. I especially appreciate them because I live in the desert, where Fall sometimes feels more like Spring. This is nice, but I do miss the spectacle that Fall can be.

Every one of those photos could have been taken around here. It's amazing how alike our seasons are.. despite the vast differences in our terrain. Beautiful shots, my friend.

Autumn is like a haircut...it looks okay for weeks, then suddenly every hair is the perfect length...then just as suddenly it looks horrible because it is past time for another cut. You are in the middle of the "every hair is perfect" moment. Enjoy! And Happy Halloween as well!

The trees there are beautiful. I especially like the photo of the tree lined road with the sun shining through...stunning! Your pumpkin is so cute, too. Happy Halloween : )

Beautiful pictures, as always. I went to the store earlier this week looking for signs of spring. On the drive back home, I noticed that the farther away I was from my home, the more the leaves had changed color. And the closer I got to home, the greener they were. It was almost as if fall hadn't hit there yet. It was very odd! And if it hadn't of been for you, I never would have noticed. You remind me to look at the small details.

Do you celebrate Halloween in Denmark?

Oops, meant to say that I was looking for signs of autumn, not spring! lol

You certainly have captured some beautiful autumn views there! We were out driving today and I noticed that we have passed the prime of the colors...most of the leaves have fallen already.

was it Van Gogh who used all those colors? every day in the country it feels like we are looking at one of his paintings.

Flamboyance is the perfect word for these splendid photos. This is when temperate climates shine over the tropical.

We are so close to the end of the year. Autumn's colors are an invitation to think about how important that is. Thanks for this beautiful post.

Trotter (welcome), Kat, tony, Rajesh, Susan, Brian, Di, The Bach, Doreen, Vagabonde, Myrna, Hilary, Stevie, LadyCat, sprinkles, Coreen, Betsy, adrielle, ladyfi, Kath, Phillip, Loz, Jill, Myriam, Holly, Paul, Joanna, Sandy and Nensa, I am so delighted that you all enjoy our colourful foliage.

Eventually the flamboyance of fall did arrive, even though the onset of colours was nowhere as grand as last year. However, the final autumn splendor did not disappoint and right now everywhere I look, I feel as if looking at beautiful paintings.
At all times I only wish this brilliance would last longer than a week…

Thank you all so very much for your very kind words and for taking the time to stop by.

Xoxo
Zuzana

Beautiful views!! and really neat Jack-o-lantern!!
I cannot believe we are in November already, and that soon, when we least notice, December will be upon us, preparing us to say goodbye to 2010. Time flew by this year!
Occasional rain is still present on this side of the planet, but an imminent change of weather can be perceived in the air. It has that certain change feeling that it's always exciting. I really like this time of year!...weather-wise.
enjoy the wonderful Fall!
