Autumn Trees.

Gazing at photographs I took a year ago I can not help but to be endlessly taken back by the beautiful colour display. Unfortunately, this year our Autumn is nowhere as flamboyant. I am not sure why. As far as I am aware, the weather pattern has been very much the same as last fall; sunny days and cold nights. And this is apparently the recipe needed to produce all the bright reds, copper and golden tones that so many of you out there are experiencing right now.

Nevertheless, if one really looks, a few lonely trees indeed stand proud in all their autumn splendor. On my recent walks I tried to capture the infinite beauty that their foliage displays. To me those fiery shades are at all times a source of joy and marvel over the talented artist, which we call nature.

Through your photos, the colours are beautiful, so it's hard to believe they're not as vibrant as other years.
Isn't it amazing that something that's dying can produce such beauty?
I do live the sunny days more so than the cold nights!

It is a wonder how aware you are of the changing hues and colours of the last year and this one. Zuzana, time and again I feel that you are like the tribals who are are very keen to their landscape and physical environment. Glad that you are always able to spot the differences in the landscape.

Joy always and wishing you a splendid week ahead.

I once had a friend who lived in New Hampshire and she would snail-mail me photos of their spectacular Autumn colors there. I'm not sure why there is such a vast difference there either. But, it's nice to hear your reflections Zuzana!

Autumn is a marvel! Wonderful pics. It hasn't been as flamboyant here either this year...

I've noticed the same thing here in Virginia. The colors don't seem as brilliant, not sure why.

Anyway, love the photos!

I agree that some autumns are more beautiful than others! Some times the leaves are vibrant and stay on the trees for weeks and other times a rain storm will take them off the trees and the color is gone before it was appreciated! Maybe next year will be better!

Zuzana, I had to come back and tell you, i just read a similar observation about the lesser vibrancy this autumn here: viewingnaturewitheileen.blogspot.com
It's obviously all over the world!

Autumn trees are my favorite...and you presented them to me.

I agree, this fall wasn't nearly as flamboyant as last year! It is a source of pride for the photographer (in my opinion) though to find and capture those few trees and bushes that didn't disappoint! :) Great photos, you definitely captured the cream of the crop!

You're posting on a Sunday!

You know, we haven't had the flash of colors this year either. Last year it went from the warmth of summer to the cold fall pretty quickly so I'm wondering if that's why - because we haven't had the coldness of fall yet. It's been chilly but not really, really cold.

I've noticed lately that my rosebushes didn't seem to bloom as much this summer but they sure are now! Not just the ones that the landscaper cut but all the other ones too! I have some in the back yard that I never water and they're just blooming away! They're getting plenty of watering this weekend though, lots of rain.

I don't think you could take a bad picture if you tried, Zuzana!! This fall tree collage is just lovely - another example of your photographic talents.

We have had a subdued autumn. I have tried to capture it, but it is hard. So much more about being there and feeling it than seeing it.

Beautiful shots of autumn colors. Very true the seasons are not same as last year.

The colours of your trees are so vibrant Zuzana. We have had too many damp and dank days here to obtain the same effect yet, our real autumn seems to come so much later that yours. Today however we have beautiful sparkling sunshine, my walk today was such a tonic for the soul!

Have a wonderful cosy evening snuggling with Batcat in front of a crackling fire;-)

I love autumn. One of my favorite things about this season is all the beautiful leaves as they turn colors.

I should hope that next year would be particularly spectacular in your part of the world! I so love the colors and enjoy your photos.

I often times wish I could have a lipstick/gloss in JUST the shade of some of the dark red/brown trees! I might look a bit GARISH but I love it!

It may not be as pretty as last year, but your photos show us that there are still some spectacularly colored trees there.

Changes in weather patterns are affecting all of us.
-
It’s still in the low 70’s here and Mother Nature seems to be confused.
-
Leaves are going from green one day, and then falling to the ground the next day.
-
Many trees that had the vibrant colors in the past appear to be skipping the autumn stage.

If we could have half of that beautiful display of color and nature Zuzana...sun is bright here, and while nights are cooler, nature is green and flowers are blooming!! Beautiful just as well, but it would be very interesting to have a read and orange view.
thank you for sharing! the pictures are as amazing as always.
have a lovely day!!

Your trees are beautiful! Many of ours are still vibrant, but some have lost most of their leaves already. We took a trip this weekend & saw some wonderful colors along the roads.

you know....I never paid attention to the colors of the fall or the flowers of the Spring. But lately...I am taken back by its beauty.
Maybe we slow down as we age to stop and appreciate.
