Room With A View.

My bedroom faces east and thus I can enjoy being awaken by subtle sunshine during the summer months, when the midnight sun rules our reality and the dawn occurs late at night.

Most of the views I share with you here are however taken from my large living-room panorama window, which faces west and from which I watch the most stunning sunsets. Occasionally I have shown sunrises, still these captures are rare.

It is also towards the east that another rare view can be enjoyed on clear late autumn and winter day. The view of the ocean.

Only visible when the birch trees lining the view are bare, it is nevertheless a sight that I find incredibly enticing. With my new camera I have been able to immortalize it in a new way, capturing the many faces of the bay lying beneath the hill. As much as the sea can be calm and azure blue one day, its mood can also be dark and menacing, turning to the colour of steel the very next, as seen on the images below, taken a couple of weeks ago, twenty four hours apart.

Zuzana, you cannot imagine how much I have imagined you, your locale and your surroundings through your posts. Zuzana, if ever I land in Denmark, I could point blank point out your home and locale.

Thanks for the wonderful mind pictures you provide.

I knew I had read this beautiful post. But see, I hadn't commented on it. I think it showed up in my Google Reader, before you fully Published it. Perhaps you were making changes in it, or something.

Anyway! Now I can comment!

What glorious views you have! Especially the view of the ocean. Even if it is only in winter time.

And the beauty of the birch trees, adds to the further view. They are so lovely and gentle and lady-like looking. :-)

You have such an awesome view! The ocean is amazing in all seasons, I'm sure. And the same with the trees. I enjoy blooming tree, but really love the look of the bare trees against the sky. It was good to see the different times of day here : )

Your windows provide a feast for your eyes. How fortunate you are. I too enjoy the views from my windows, though they are dramatically different from yours.

Thanks for the photos. The camera does a good job, and the photographer has great skill at capturing beauty.

(Thanks Zuzana for your kind comment on my blog.)

My friend, you are so blessed to have such views! To be able to mark the many moods of the sea must be a fun way to remember the day.

From my windows I see a range of smallish mountains that surround my home. It is a lovely view as well and one that I cherish. Like you my view shrinks during the summer months due to the trees that are all around.

You are so lucky to have such a view from your home.
I can relate to weather changes and the sea.
I know many times we'd be in the water and the waves would rise so high, the boat motor would be propelling outside the water and we'd have a problem getting home.
Sometimes it got down right scary but it was adventure and fun and now awesome memories.

How fantastic - gorgeous views! I love how water can do that, change from one mood/color to the next within hours. It's no wonder people say that nature speaks :)
