Final Fury.

Our brief encounter with spring has ended and we are once again under a pristine white cover.
Nature refuses to awaken just yet, thus hitting the snooze button it drifts back to sleep, while the arctic wind howls in my chimney and drives the snow into banks against the house.

Winters final fury is unleashed.
The Ice Lady shows off her power one last time, reinforcing the fact that her rule, although culminating, has not concluded just yet. She fights until her last breath, with ammunition of ice and snow, throwing us once more into deep freeze...

Yep, still snow all around but the sun is shining and thus a beautiful day lies ahead of us.

Sun-dazzled snow is the essence of winter and winter beauty... Magical. Keep warm and enjoy the last fury of winter... (- 25 C when we woke up this morning.)

ugh. that is the thing about this in between time...we start being wooed by spring only to have winter get jealous...it was 75 yesterday...today it is to be about 20-25 degrees colder....stay warm...

Oh Zuzana! Well, it is beautiful but so hard to be in this in between phase. We've had our little teases of spring here too... today we have wind, partly cloudy skies and a few snow flurries, but I can feel the energy of spring emerging in me!
Your posts are always so beautiful!
If you need a flower fix come on over to Dandelion House!

here the fury has been the wind...incessantly roaring all night long and still this morning...fierce! I tried taking photos of the moon last night, but the dancing trees created a motion picture!!! No, winter is not quite done with us yet.

Yes, we've got the same thing happening here. Yesterday, despite the raging wind, it was warm enough to walk wearing a sweatshirt. The temperature dropped through the day and this morning, we have a few inches of snow. I like the idea of the snooze button. :)

Zuzana, while a white cover spreads over your region, here the summer has started full throttle. We sweat, get tired and always feel like sleeping.

The wonders of nature are simply marvellous.

Joy always and a blissful Sunday to you.

Nature hits the snooze button....love that phraseology! It will be time to wake soon, but until then she's just going to doze a little longer.

Soon, my dear sun loving friend....soon!

Your photos make it SO beautiful Zuzana. We have been just a few days behind you in weather. We are in the midst of a sunny, warm, trend...although the temps are dropping today. We are to have another bout of snow by Tuesday. This spring-like reprieve has been WONDERFUL.

We will ALL soon be blogging about pruning flower blooms and enjoying the warm sunshine! SOON!

Brrrrrrr! I'm cold just looking at all that snow! I hope you spent the day inside curled up with Batcat in front of the fire while reading a good book and drinking a hot chocolate. Sounds like the perfect way to spend the day.

We had beautiful spring-like weather for several days in a row, then we got snow for 3 days in a row. Thankfully it didn't stick but it sure was bitter cold!

Ah yes, the wind is wicked today, howling and restless, bringing with it a promised blizzard which will cover all the brown half melted snow again. Though the fresh look will be lovely, I am not looking forward to it... :) Hope your week is a lovely one!!

and it seems that she is winning because I dont have the spirit to fight her anymore. Today I felt like "enough already" when I had to face another day on snow covered roads.

Zuzana,
Lovely photos! Winter refuses to leave us too, but I can feel the change. The sap is starting to flow! Have been under the weather with the flu, but feeling better, just in time for another snowstorm topped with hours of freezing rain. The days to continue to grow longer, Spring will come!
Hugs,
Sherry

Elizabeth, ladyfi, Brian, Deborah, Laura, Hilary, P, Doreen, Donna, Susan, Stevie, Jill, Kath, Betsy, Amelia, sprinkles, Regina, Philip, Cosmo, Rajesh, adrielle, Sandy, Lady, tony, Richard, Jane, Sukanya, Myriam, Evi, Michael, Kat, Ann and Sherry - it is now almost 14 days ago that the last (I hope last) snow fell and at this point it is slowly disappearing, revealing frost burned grass and old foliage.
My terrace is still under semi-deep cover, but there is certain feel in the air, difficult to pinpoint.

A feel of change that is imminent. Despite the cold.

Thank you all as always for stopping by and leaving the most wonderful comments one can ask for – full of care and kindness.
It is you who inspire me to keep writing and to keep coming back here.

Xoxo
