That Transcending Emotion...

Love.
That fleeting, yet such a completely transcending emotion; one that makes us feel so fragile and invincible, simultaneously.
At times I truly doubt that the romantic kind of love was ever meant for me - still I do believe and rejoice in its existence for others. As it is that one single human sentiment, which makes everything worth our while.

Even though some of us might feel lonely right now, missing that special connection with another human being, I believe we are never really alone - as love connects us all...
I became reminded of this belief by a set of touching sentences of comfort, send to me recently by a stranger, yet a kindred soul. Her poignant words resonated so strongly within me, I decided to share them here with you;

"Many people forget we belong together as one Universal family - when we forget we feel isolated... The Soul knows no ego, no pride nor fear of humiliation, whilst acting from the heart..."

Such a powerful message from an unexpected source...

Christmas is the time to remember those we love and have loved, no matter what kind of love that might be. As love takes all shapes and travels across vast distances to warm those we hold dear.

To celebrate this surpassing and collective emotion of Love, I have compiled a few of my favourite love quotes in the clip below, using my best winter photographs and the harmonies of one of the infinitely most poetic and romantic songs ever written.

I dedicate it to all of you, whether you feel loved or lonely this Christmas, and whether you are with the ones you love or miss them dearly...

U really need not express love. it is mostly an intrinsic sensation. just gush out your love on Christmas. Many cheers for the Day.

I have felt that loneliness you describe, though. I still feel that lack of connection at times and the sadness that comes with it.
I will visit again to read the quotes.

What a great presentation Zuzana! very deep, and "loving" quotes.
Ahhh LOVE. Indeed, love comes in many different shapes. A mother's love. A friends' love. A partner's love. All different, yet all the same in regards of fulfilling our souls with that energy that keeps us going. And while some of us lacks - or doesn't know - certain shapes of it, we have plenty of the other kinds, and it gives us the power to continue and find joy in what surrounds us.
Have a great - and loving - day my friend!

So incredibly beautiful and inspiring. You're right about love being made up of so many different types of love and not just romantic love.

I've always felt fleeting moments of love here and there but it never seems to last for more than a few days.

Beautiful post! I enjoyed your video.

I'm glad that you're enjoying the snow. Wish I could but I just don't. Luckiy, most of ours has melted now. Didn't think that would ever happen since we had so much.

I will try and see the clip from another computer. For some reason, this one is not cooperating and showing me your quotes. Still, just want you to know how much you are appreciated and loved. It is universal, it enfolds us all.

Take care Zusana.

Every so often, we come across a couple who love so much it makes us envious, but the truth is there are many kinds of love. Sometimes the great love of our life isn't the significant other, if there is one, it could be a sibling, a parent, a child or maybe someone we should have been with but didn't get to be for circumstancial reasons. I've felt a lot better in myself since I realized this.

Living as I do in the mystic east, I've come to realize that romantic love is a concept dreamed up by western culture and it is based on impossible expectations. I wrote a novel for NaNoWriMo recently and it was basically about a couple who truly love each other but couldn't marry because of family reasons so they made their lives elsewhere. Yet secretly and without being unfaithful, they continue to care for each other. I haven't been in that situation but this story took hold of me and I just had to tell it. Strange, isn't it?

Very touchy subject indeed! Selfless love .. is this really possible?
Probably that is why we call world community and not world family.. perhaps!

Dear Zuzana: Thanks for stopping by my Blog Page as we are still working on recovering and rebuilding my Blog Page. I have no access to anyone unless they come by and I can use their link to merely respond, for now.

Love is self-less, but we live in such a selfish world where people measure someone to love withthe wrong things in mind, without recognizing nor understanding. Love, to me ultimately must be beholden to one.

I celebrate your sensitivity to life and to people and feelings! That is a rare quality and a gift of love to each of us who stop here! xoxo! :)

I just found your blog and was so excited to see you are in Denmark. My father's family was from Denmark. Sadly, he passed away when I was quite young and I've always wanted to know more about this country. Now I can view some of it through your blog. I enjoyed listening to this song-- it brought back memories of hearing it when I was a young girl.

Scribe, Elizabeth, Kath, Loz, tony, LadyCat, Gaston Studio, Doreen, Jagdish, Myriam, Brian, Paul, Claudia, Betty, Sukanya, ladyfi, Will, Laura, Mr. Whiterspoon, Betsy, Angela, sprinkles, Myrna, Sandy, Maria, Hilary, Susan, Jean Luc, Sumandebray, Michael, Donna, Marinela, The Bach, adrielle, Bhushavali, Jeanne, Amelia, Ann, Philip and Rosie (welcome and thank you for your kind words) – I am absolutely delighted that you enjoyed this post so much and that you too can relate to the sentiments of LOVE.

My experiences has shown me, that love is truly all we need. If we only persist and not grow cynical, despite rejection and and broken hearts, and if we only stay open to its allure and dare to let love in when we encounter it - no matter in what shape - it will move us in an unusual way and change our lives forever.

Thank you so much also to those of you who took the time to watch the clip, I know your time is precious, thus it means a great deal to me. As do your wonderful words of kindness and compliments.

And thank you all as always for stopping by and for leaving comments, particularly here on this post, that moved me beyond words…

I can't believe I missed this post - it was so beautiful... and so true... Your video you put together was so touching... "Moon River" is one of my favorite songs... it's timeless and romantic...

I know how blessed I am to have my husband but I know the feeling of being alone and how that can feel... but like you said - we are all connected - our souls - and therefore we are never truly alone. I loved the quote your friend shared with you... I plan on jotting that one down.

I believe there someone is out there for you - you have so much love to give and to offer... your journey is meant to be shared with someone else - the hard thing is the waiting - waiting for the universe to "go ahead" with it's plan! :)

((Hugs))
Christine
