Harry Connick Jr. has the most amazing voice. Being the same age, I grew up listening to his smooth vocals and his jazzy rhythms and have always been enticed by his charisma. I have a few of his albums of which "To See You" is my favorite.
I was very pleasantly surprised when he released a Christmas CD in 1993, entitled "When My Heart Finds Christmas". It is a beautiful collection of traditional songs, among others a stunning performance of Ave Maria.
I would like to share with you here the single from this album, with the same name. There is something infinitely warm and familiar about this piece. Every time I listen to it, my heart truly finds Christmas.

I'm certainly no Connick fan after watching the video, but the pictures reminded me of my childhood Christmases and have to admit there's a tear in my eye. It was like watching those old cartoons the BBC played at Christmas when I was a kid. You know, Tom & Jerry etc., when they set the scene before the cat and mouse fight!

Hi Zuzana,
Someone at work is sharing this album with me. Yes, indeed, a fine collection. I hope we all find that Christmas sparkle the can touch our souls. Another good song at this time of year is "My grown up Christmas listen. Micael Bubble' has a Christmas album out called "Let Snow".. it really good too. Christmas blessings to you. Later, my friend! aThe Bach

:)
love his voice. And am a fan of his movies too. He's gorgeous. I first saw him opposite Sandra Bullock with Hope Floats! Loved him ever since.
Beautiful. I have never heard him before. But, I liked what ever I listened to this video.
I just listened to that song last night!! It is one that never fails to bring tears to my eyes!!
MY heart LOVES Christmas and Harry's brilliant voice is the perfect accompaniment to the season!
love the flasback posts
Zuzana! I have ALWAYS liked you immensely but now EVEN MORE! ;)
I love Harry!! I have been playing this album THIS WEEK and it alwasy makes me smile when I get it out.
I love his other work as well and have seen him in concert!
I enjoyed this SO much!
Happy Weekend to you dear friend!
Harry has been crossing my radar more and more over the past few years. Aside from his obvious talent, he was very instrumental in helping New Orleans dig out from disaster. Not just financially but physically. He spent a great deal of time laboring to help that city get back on its feet. He earned my respect then. Recently he appeared on the Ellen Degeneres show and had me in stitches. He's a very funny guy. Watch for yourself. :)
I love Harry Connick and this selection is great! I even like just hearing him talk. I love that New Orleans accent. He was good in "Hope Floats". I also remember him being on the TV show "Will & Grace". He played Grace's boyfriend and was a doctor. They even got married on the show.
Enjoy that Christmas music ; )
I love this song... I've got his "Christmas Waltz" on my blog playlist, which I also love...
I love his voice. It's so soothing and deep and very sexy.

I've loved Harry since he did the title song for the movie When Harry Meet Sally. BTW, the movie is a great New Year's eve selection if you happen to be spending the evening alone.
great choice! we were actually listening to this in the car today. i too found him through harry met sally...great music!
Zuzana - you have caught me out with this one! I can honestly say that I never heard the song before, but I like it, it's very Sinatra-ish. I have heard of Harry Connick Jr but never checked out his music so I shall explore. The video for the song though, I just loved it. That particular type of Christmas art is my favourite and brings back memories of Christmas and Christmas cards from my youth. I hope you have a lovely weekend!
I don't typically listen to the type of music that Harry sings but I am a fan of his movies!
Thanks for sharing the video, I rather enjoyed it. :) It reminds me of a Thomas Kinkade painting.
LOVE that man. I wanted to have his babies, you know, before he married that model and all ;)
Tom, The Bach, Denise, Rajesh, Julie, Sumandebray, Jill, Hilary, LadyCat, Rebecca, Nessa, stevie, Brian, Blogaire, sprinjles, Diane - thank you all so much for stopping by. I am so glad you too enjoy Harry's voice and music.
Your kind words are always appreciated.

I first saw Harry Connick Jr. in a movie about World War (don't remember which war) singing Oh Danny boy. I love him immediately. I like how he sings, and his very noticiable southern charm. Very nice Christmas song! I might have to go ahead and find the album to add to my collection!
Claudia, glad you too enjoy Harry's voice.;) If you get the chance to get this album, please do, it is excellent.;)
