"Daybreak".

When I was in my mid-twenties, by a chance, a friend introduced me to the Bossa Nova music. And I was hooked ever since. The melodies, the rhythm, the lyrics, the instruments used - all create a particular atmosphere that appeals to me incredibly. If I was ever to choose only one music style as my favourite, Bossa Nova would be it. This Brazilian type of music is as exotic and as sensual as any music can possibly be.

It has been immortalized by the famous Brazilian musician, Antônio Carlos Jobim, who composed the very well known "Girl from Ipanema", among numerous other hits.
The Bossa Nova music has been used in many movie soundtracks and have inspired many performers. Such as the Swedish born Lisa Ekdahl. After she met her husband, the American composer Salvadore Poe, they created together the most amazing album to date. A mixture of Latin Jazz, Easy Listening and heavily influenced by Bossa Nova, it is a precious part of my CD collection.

Below is the signature song of the album, that describes - in my opinion - the best part of the day.

No wonder you like "Next Stop, Wonderland" so much! ;-)
This music is making me feel so warm and if I don't look out the window at the 10 inches of snow on the ground, I can almost imagine muself in a sundress dancing under the summer stars.

=swenglishexpat,
glad you too like Lisa; I find her voice to be very fragile and sensitive, perfect for singing Bossa Nova.;)

=Tina,
I knew this would make you remember that movie; what I found interesting was that the plot was taking place almost entirely in winter - spring and the music still fit in so well into those seasons.;))
Hope your Monday was great.;))
