An Early Spring Sunset.

There are several signs that signify to me that Spring is taking over the reign from Winter. One of them is the returning sun. Once again, my living room window offers spectacular sunsets, that will only intensify in beauty as the sun moves further up in the sky.
Yesterday I could watch for the first time this season a "true" sunset, as the sun did set over the horizon, this time in the southwest, instead of hiding behind the hills in the far south. To me this indicates the true beginning of the final days of winter.
On the last picture, Venus, the now retreating first star on the evening sky, can just be vaguely seen to the left.

=Hilary,
I love when the sun sets that way; it always underlines the fact that nature can create naturally the most wonderful paintings.
I am sure you, that is so talented with your camera lens, could take some astounding pictures here.;))

=Diane,
that is the best time of the day - I love sunrises, as they are a promise of a new, fresh start.;))

=Betsy,
yes that is it exactly; watching the nature has always a relaxing effect on me as well.;)

=Mahmud,
thank you so much, glad you liked them. Your words always make my day;))

=Tereza,
here is wishing you an improvement in the weather.;)))
And you are right, it is all in the mind, perhaps I will wear short skirts this spring.;))) The Irishman would for sure approve.;)))

=Shelly,
thank you so much for those kind words and for stopping by, please come back again.;))

=sallymandy,
thank you fro the compliment on the pictures.;) And yes, we are all ready for spring at this point.;) Especially those of us living in the northern parts.;))

Your view from your window is amazing!
Far better than any program on television at that time, right?

Absolutely beautiful photos. Sunsets are natures most beautiful moments, I think. (I'm never up for the sunrise, but I would think it is as spectacular.)

=Tina,
yes, so much better than the TV for sure. And more relaxing; the TV these days is full of new about the economical crises and I have just about had it.;))

=swenglishexpat,
I know what you mean, usually I miss the sunrise as well. Except in the early spring and on occasions here and there. It is in a way a shame as I love the daybreak.;))

You take the best pictures! Do you mind if I ask what kind of camera you use?

Zuzana said...

=Mel,
well, thank you for such a wonderful compliment, that warms my heart, as I do not see my self as any great photographer.;)
The camera I use is a Nikon Coolpix and it is this great tiny little thing that fits into my pocket, I love it.

By the way, if you want to see great pictures, visit Hilary's page (top comment) and her Smitten Image.;))

These are beautiful photos Protege! The color change of the sky is very soothing in the eyes. You are lucky to have a perfect view on your room. Not everyone's window offer that kind of view just like yours, esp to us living here in Manila. We have to go the beach or by the bay just to see the magnificent sunrise and sunset.

Hello spring and summer! :)

=Noelle,
thank you sweetie; yes I am lucky that way. However, I would much rather have your climate though.;))
