Untamed Waters.

Taking a walk along the pristine beaches in the proximity of my home, I am once again reminded of the incredible power of the North Sea.
Watching the surf, the crushing waves bring to mind the run of wild horses, untamed animals in all their feral beauty.
The arctic wind, the salty aerosol, the incredibly enchanting sights of colours and shapes, the roaring sound - they all are the make up of an awe invoking allure of nature.
Yet walking there, hand in hand with a lover, one can not imagine a warmer and safer place...

(All images here taken this week at the North Sea, during our short, romantic getaway.:)

Zuzana, the closest I came to North Sea was at the beach on The Hague and I am reminded of the roaring sea and the chill in the air cutting through the clothing as a sharp knife:) It was awesome! Thanks for reminding me:)

It looks absolutely beautiful and I'm sure you had a wonderful time. The power of the sea is tremendous and many people lose their lives because they don't respect it.

The sea is beautiful and powerful.
We have had plenty experience with it here on this continent lol
I often wonder how a place like Holland which is below sea level would handle the ocean at its' doors?
It's pretty scary to think about

Your photos are so beautiful! I have been to the beach several times, but on a ship only once. I was so acutely aware of the immense power of the sea--it frightened me, but I must say that I never slept better than on that ship! Thinking about the power of the sea brought to my mind a verse from Psalm 8:8 which speaks of "...whatsoever passes through the paths of the seas." It causes me to wonder about paths in the seas--where are they and what does this mean? All I know is that I do NOT want to go near the Burmuda Triangle!lol
