Winter Canvas.

I find it utterly fascinating, when natural wonders take place just outside my windows. Those stunning artworks, that appear to be created by an unseen artist, in any season.

No one can ever reproduce that which nature creates.

We can only strive to do so and we can indeed come very close - such as using the lenses of our cameras to convey what we see. It can never measure up to the original though, as to appreciate the natural beauty, we must perceive it with all our senses.

Nevertheless, Winter paints the natural canvas in the most enchanting way. The ethereal works of art that currently comprise my vistas simply leave me standing in awe. I can not help but pause every time I pass my windows, in order to take in the spellbound beauty of my views.

The images that greet my gaze are as stunning as the brilliant bloom of Spring, can outmatch the luscious colours of sea and sky in the Summer and in elegance, they surpass the flamboyant foliage of Autumn.

Absolutely beautiful! You know, we went from 17 degrees yesterday morning - I walked outside comfortably in my PJ's to greet the day - to a steady drop in temperature throughout the day to finally reach 3 degrees in the evening! It snowed during the night and a sprinkling was on the roof tops and cars this morning! Nothing like your photos here but beautiful none the less. Needless to say - I did not walk out in my PJ's this morning!
But I agree - nature is a masterpiece of God's!
Blessings upon this lovely day!

I have to say that the one thing I miss is the changing of the seasons. A different view at any given time throughout the year. In Kuwait, the view is always the same, unless it is clouded by a dust storm. We certainly do not have such gorgeous winter views as you have displayed here. A winter wonderland in all its glory. Happy day to you. Tammy

What beautiful, magical, views of a winter wonderland! You can feel the icy cold in the air looking at your photos Zuzana! We had light snow flakes coming down here today - our first of the season - but nothing accumulated on the ground. It's been cold though...hitting the 20s F. at night and in the 30s F. during the day.

Tomorrow or I guess it really today since I'm up at almost 4 am we are going to get my Apple MAC laptop. It's been fixed - it was the graphic card - and no cost to us because it was still under our warranty.

Have a lovely weekend Zuzana!

Do you cross country ski? We did that many years ago and loved it while we lived in Chicago. Not enough snow here to do it though.

Good morning Zuzana,

Your pictures are stunningly beautiful. Here at our peninsula we had an overnight surprise, almost all the snow is gone!!!!

Have a great saturday and I'll see you soon.

It looks great as a picture! I am not sure how much cold it will be to go out and be part of it ... for me I feel very cold at +15 degrees

Can you lend me your window, dear Zuzana. The views are so breathtaking and splendid. How can anyone who views such sights not be a poet and creative artist. I now understand the verve behind your powerful writing. "A poet could not not but be gay in such a jocund company!" said Wordsworth after seeing the daffodils and now I understand how true was that expression.

Joy always,
Susan

Oh my goodness... your pictures here do wonderfully catch that moment in time of winter's scene. I love them.. looks like you are almost snowed in there. Hope your holidays plans are coming along nicely. LadyCat and I are having fun this weekend with her grandaughters. They are all excited about Christmas and all of its festivities. Zuzana! Your Invisible Artist has been very busy near You!
Isnt it daft? People talk so much about "HD television " when we are surrounded by HD reality!!!
Have A Fine Weekend my dear.

The world surrounding you is quite beautiful. The lighting fascinates me. The blue and gold combination reminded me instantly of the colors Maxfield Parrish used in his paintings. His settings were not set amongst frozen vegetation or in wintry scenes, but his palette was very much the same.

The scenes from your window are breathtaking Zuzana. The gold sunlight against the blue is just lovely. We too have seen the most spectacular frosts here as you know - nature can be harsh but so very beautiful.

I cannot decide which is more beautiful the colorful sky or the gorgeous frosted trees. We call that a Hoar Frost...AMAZINGLY beautiful.

You are truly living in a winter wonderland.

I hope you managed to get your car winterized so you can get out and about Zuzana!

Oh, Zuzana - these are all such gorgeous photographs! It has been an unusally mild winter here so far - I keep wondering when we will have beauty such as this!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend,

Just beautiful! I love how most of these images go from a monochrome colouring at the bottom of the photo and rise into brilliant colour in the sky. We don't have any snow yet/still. I'm almost envious. ;)

Dear Zuzana,

What I love most about this posting is that YOU are still enough of a child-at-heart to stop, look, and really see the beauty that some take for granted.

Warm cheers,

Yes, the canvas painted by Winter, is as enchanting, as that painted by any other season.

And your camera has captured some of Winter's art!

Thank you, for sharing...

A winter wonderland indeed. You are fortunate to be surrounded by such beauty.
When we woke yesterday, it was to find that most of the snow had disappeared, almost as though it had never existed.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

No wonder you are fascinated by the natural wonders sometimes, just outside your windows!! A person with good taste can appreciate all these!

You are most talented to capture beauty which most others may take for granted. It's exquisite, it's exhilarating.

the color of the sky on the first picture is beautiful. Some of them look like postcards but hey, postcards are pictures of nature.

I love it when the trees freeze and the sun shines. I love to run on days like that. It feels like I am witnessing an ice show

Zuzana your pictures are so beautiful, and you can see this from your window… no wonder you love nature when you can see its beauty so near. This morning I thought we might have some snow but when I opened the drapes it looked the same as yesterday – trees with still some leaves on them. So it is a treat looking at your photos.

Look at those photos!! They look so unreal to me! Like paintings that comes from the imagination of a great artist. Is it really that white? It looks cold also, yet so serene. I have to experience that kind of nature one day. I have hope.
have a great and wintery day my friend!
