Autumn Morning Magic.

And so it begins.
Gently at first, as if an unseen painter used the foliage at random for trials of his palette full of ochres, reds and yellows. However very soon, the entire landscape will be bursting in every shade of warm, earthy colours.

I woke up very early today. The sky was blue, the air fresh and pristine and thus I decided to take an walk in a nearby forest.
The colour onset is suddenly so very palpable everywhere. The beautiful green is covered by strokes of red and yellow, shining like copper and gold against the azure blue sky. The morning mist gave the landscape a feel of enchantment, as the sun rays broke through the heavy foliage of trees.

I experienced a moment of autumn magic today. I found wonderful and soothing solitude in the freshness of the colours, the scent of the air and the song of the birds as I watched the first leaves fall gently to the ground...

Those gently falling leaves say so much about the passing of time. One season following the other. Thanks, Zuzana, for all this colour.

From the photos and video, it looks like you got some of that sunshine you love(even if now it is a weaker, less potent warmth)

My dog and I will also be going on a walk in the forest today on a beautiful fall day on the other side of the ocean from you!

It really is Autumn at your home! I'm surprised that your leaves have turned and are falling. It's still hot here - right now 86.9 degrees F. and everything is still green. Although my River Birch is slowiy turning yellow and these leaves are falling. It's the first one. I loved your video. Who wouldn't want to travel down that path? Is it by your home? Have a great weekend my dear friend.

I'd love to have such a beautiful place to walk close at hand. I think that is why I liked sitting in my car during lunch at my last job, because I faced the woods. I could watch nature's slow dance perfectly from that vantage point. Or I could close my eyes and listen to the interplay of wind and birds.

Have a wonderful day today!

ps....I think the azure color of your sky must make it one of the prettiest skies on earth.

Although most days are still warm, it's definitely cooled down here. I haven't really noticed the leaves changing colors yet or falling from the trees.

How lucky you are to have a forest close by! I think if we had one in my town, I'd probably have a picnic there once in awhile.

I know the bleak solitude of winter gets you down. When it finally arrives try to recapture the feelings you experienced today.

Zuzana: I have not been able to visit as often as I've wanted, but I appreciate your comment for little Trevor Tredaway. Hopefully, the beginning of Autumn will bring me more quality time here, as this post reminds me of the new beginnings that are positive and exciting for all of us to make.

Michael :)

Yep, once the maples start to go, you know the jig is about up for summer. In much of the U.S., we have another early leaf shedder that is also beautiful. It's called the sweet gum, and it has an absolutely delightful scientific name: Liquidambar styraciflua.

Hi Zuzana, I didn't think anyone could make me feel good about the fact that it's autumn, but you have, with your beautiful words and pictures.
Watching your video is mesmerising, calming, intoxicating, all at once.
Thank you.

Look at the few leaves fall! So pretty! All that's been falling here is rain!! I am telling you Zuzana, I am so tired of it! I literally have the blues right now, and seems that they're transferring to my body (everything aches!). *sigh*
I found a tree the other day that changes leaves into yellows at first and then some kind of orange/brown. Did I mention this before? I am in the mission of finding out which tree is it, and have one at home. I showed it to my mom over the weekend...she made the "I'm not sure" face, but I am having one regardless :o) A tree at home can't make any harm.
Beautiful Autumnal pictures!

The gentleness of the falling leaves and the birdsong is just wonderful in your little film Zuzana and the autumn colours are simply glorious.

Autumn comes much later here and your words and images have made me long for those colours and that distinctive tang in the air! Unfortunately its been raining constantly for about three days here and everything still looks very green which is lovely but the greyness of the sky is depressing. I hope some crystal clear autumn days arrive soon so I can take a walk in the woods!
