June Bloom.

June is my favourite month, even though weather-wise it is rarely pleasing. This past week has been yet another record breaking one, bringing us as much rain in one day, as is usual for the whole month of June. Additionally, it rained non stop (and that means literally non stop) for five consecutive days.
Safe to say, the nature around is certainly not thirsting.

Today feels truly much more like April, not June. The sky contains a plethora of colours, everything from pristine baby blue, to white, grey and ominous black. It is windy, and the clouds bring occasional heavy showers, which are over as fast as they began, replaced by brilliant sunshine. This signals a true weather change ahead.

The humid warm air, which is now retreating, brought out the most beautiful flowers in my surroundings, in splendid, vivacious colours. Cherry Laurel, Spiraea, Rose Hips and variety of wild flowers are in bloom. Thus my views do remind me of the fact that summer is just around the corner, even though the weather tells me otherwise.

Simply stunning, Zuzana!! What color!! I love the photo at the top of this post...think I'll settle in there with a favorite book...and your collage is phenomenally gorgeous...you'd never guess that you have been experiencing gloomy weather! Hope the sun shines soon, and you can enjoy your coffee on the patio again! Love to you, my dear friend! Janine XO

Your June blooms are gorgeous. I'm sure they've soaked up all of that rain. Hopefully they will be all the prettier for it.

I literally wish I could send you some of our weather. It is sooooo muggy here this week. All most rain we've had is a passing shower, but the air is heavy laden with moisture. Which makes for miserable weather as far as I'm concerned. HOT, HOT, HOT!!! The temps have been in the mid 9os.

Hopefully you will get the summer you long for soon!

Our June is impersonating April, too. Always a few steps back before the leap forward into summer heat. Gorgeous colors, though!

Hej Zuzana,

Just answered a mail from Hungary. My description of the weather was autumm.
It is raining big time and the wind blows its fury over the island.
Luckily I have a calender that shows me that it is June.

wow, five days of rain. that is a bit much! but the Earth probably loves it. we have had hot and very humid weather lately. and enough rain so I don't have to water my new lawn to keep it from dying. your house and garden area is so gorgeous.

Hi Zuzana,
Your June Bloom mosaic is truly beautiful...wish I could sit out on your porch and chat with you in person. We stopped at a rural RV park called Toad River RV Park for the night. Tomorrow we head up to Watson Lake in British Columbia. We hope by the end of the week we will be in Alaska. Just taking our time and enjoying the route through Canada. Have a lovely day!

Yesterday was so windy, chilly and rainy. Today was bright and beautiful. I wish the weather would make up its mind!

I spent a good portion of the day outside today for a picnic fundraiser and am now paying the price with allergies. Ugh!

Your flowers are gorgeous!

I love seeing all the pictures of your garden....they are lovely.

I have heard from other friends in Denmark, and they are all ready for the sun to shine again. Here it is sunny and around 30+ degrees C. Peters parents are enjoying the nice weather, though they could stand for it to be a little cooler. :-)

Have a good weekend, my friend.

Susan, Brian, Janine, Maja, Lynne, Kat, Ivy (welcome), Stevie, sandy, Elizabeth, Doreen, Sandy, sprinkles, Michael, Jacki, Philip, Mahmood, Nessa, Eternally…, Donna, Evi, Hilary, Sharon, laughingwolf and Regina; I am delighted that you like the Scandinavian bloom.
The weather was very unstable the whole weekend, even though Sunday was more sunny, it was incredibly windy, almost stormy. The pictures make it look warmer than it really was.

Thank you so much everyone for your kind comments and your time, I am so happy you enjoyed my June collage.

Xoxo,
Zuzana

Weather is crazy indeed, and very unpredictable everywhere. It is true that while it is only the beginning of the rainy season here in Guatemala, the rain so far has brought in a week, what it was hoped for the entire season!!...and there are four more months to go... here, it brings disaster, and chaos. At least it brings pretty flowers on your side :-)
I hope summer comes to you quickly and you can experience some warmth.
Have a great week ahead!
