Unique Stemware Set.

I have said that I love beer, but I have to admit that when I want to serve something fancy for my guests, I always buy good sparkling wine, or every now and then; champagne.

On special occasions I love to serve the effervescent wine in somewhat unique glasses. These beautiful flutes are designed for those summer cocktail parties outside. I received the set as a birthday gift from my parents and I find the stemware incredibly charming and fun. The glasses lack the foot and are originally designed for opulent parties held on beaches, where guests can stick the bare stems in the sand. The colour variety is not just an entertaining detail, but it also aids in recognition of one's own drink.

I do not have any sand on my patio, but everyone always enjoys drinking from these fancy colorful flutes, as they turn even even a small party into a lavish celebration.

I've seen these before and was never sure how practical they were. I like hte idea of using them at a beach party though. :)

wow this one is so unique! I love it! So cute that you can just stick them in the sands. Great for beach parties and house party! Your parents know your taste very well. :)

Beautiful! I love those! I'v never seen them before. Seems like a good way to enforce portion control as well as being very festive and fun.

Thanks Z for your visits this week. I'm behind (again) in my visiting and am glad to see what you have over here. I love to read your writing. Have a lovely day.

Those are pretty cool. Unfortunately, we live too far from the beach to get much use out of something like that, but they are very elegant.

Oh, these are so pretty and festive! And sticking them in sand is brilliant. You could even have little containers of sand if you weren't at the beach. My mother allowed me to have a sip of champagne at a wedding once when I was a girl. Perhaps it was because I was a child that I could not appreciate it - but I do like the sparkling apple juice! :)

Well there you go. I've seen this design so many times and never once thought to figure out just what their purpose was. Sand! I salute your flute!

Those glasses are so special! The most mundane day would be special if you drank your beverage of choice out of THOSE beautiful flutes!

I say we head to the beach with the glasses and a few bottles... what do you say? I'll be there shortly!

I love them! I think I might go on a hunt for some of my very own. I love to drink wine....but I don't own a fancy set of wine glasses.

That was a good gift from your parents. Enjoy your Thursday! ;-)

They are lovely! I bet you throw a great party. I would love to attend one of your parties.

As you know,...I am a sentimental fool, and the fact that your parents gave you those just makes it even more special.

I love these champagne flutes. The only thing I would worry about, after I get a little bit dizzy (because of the champagne) maybe I would try to "put" them on the table instead of the special holder...LOL.
