Some parts of Denmark received snow this weekend. Fortunately, it remains dry, but very cold in the part where I live. I can see the snowy hills across the bay and find it incredible that there is snow just a few miles north of here. Nevertheless, it can snow here too, and quiet heavily.
As promised, I would like to share images of winterly and snowy landscape with those of you who live in the warmer parts of the world and never or rarely get to see snow (lucky you!).
This movie was taken in 2007 when a snowstorm hit us and I could not leave the house for a few days. Enjoy.:)))

Can't see the video but at least I know what snow looks like. I have cousins in Australia who have never seen it... Ryan thinks that's just SO sad!! :)
I am sorry Diane, I know you can not watch movie clips.
In a way I understand Ryan, as I can not imagine not knowing what snow looks like. However, I could happily be without snow to be honest. Except for Christmas perhaps.;)
I think I've mentioned once or twice in the past that I miss the seasons, but that's too cold for me. There is a limit!
What's with the noise in the background? Sounds like you live near an airport or at least a very strange highway.
Tom, the limit for me is exceeded every year.;))
By the way, regarding the noise; the camera microphone is very sensitive and picks up the sounds from a nearby highway. Honestly, it is not this noisy in reality.;))
When will I see snow? Don't know yet. But my attraction to snow somehow grew from the film Dr. Dhzivago where the hero was Omar Sheriff. There were lots of snow in the film and best described to us by the words of its theme song like: "the snow covers the hope of spring" and "soft as the kiss of snow". I can imagine that from your picture too. Back here in the hot tropics it is raining daily we expect more rain till about January or February next year. It's really wet Xmas here!
Mahmud, Dr. Zhivago is one of my favourite movie classics. Omar Sharif was excellent and so was Julie Christie.
I understand that it might be strange not to experience snow, but I would rather be without it, if I was forced to choose. I would only miss it really around the holidays.:)
Hope you can stay dry in the rainy season.:)
Ah... snow! I love it.
That's a lot of snow! I dont think I'll be ever to live in a place that frequently receives snow.. I like warmth.. though the idea of having a fireplace (and use it!) is tempting. haha.
ps
Thanks for the compliments on the photos.. I was the one who took them.. and my hair.. me and my hair.. we just dont get along. lol
*hugs*
mlh, I love the snow too, but this was a bit too much.;)))
Valentine, I too would love to live somewhere where there is an eternal sunshine.:) But then again, I have to agree with you on the fireplace, I simple love mine.:)
