Falling For Fall.

Suddenly, there is that unmistakable finale in the air. One that signals that a certain natural change is imminent. As we are about to cross the gateway into the third season, my surroundings become defined by all the subtle alterations, those that announce the arrival of Lady Autumn.

The westerly winds blow ever so colder and the sun sets earlier by each day. Looking out of the windows, I notice the first golden leaves on our birch tree and the rowan in our garden is by now fully mature.
My afternoon drive home these days ends in twilight and during my solitary morning run, I can feel the chill in the air and the dance of the first fallen foliage around my feet, when the breeze picks up.

Indeed, tomorrows equinox means that fall is about to commence and this realization brings on emotions of a renewed excitement. I look forward to experience this rich, flamboyant season, in all its colourful glory, greeting it as if for the first time, seeing it with new eyes.
In my new home, in my new life.

  3. Fall, the season of plenty, just around the corner, racing towards us with stealth speed. Still it is a season that brings the fruits of a year and clears the path to plan for a new journey.

  12. Yesterday was the first day of fall here. We are having steady rain for almost a week. Everything is still green...the grass loves all the rain. There a fall feel in the air though...some cooler temperatures. It was such a hot summer now it feels funny to have cooler weather. It sounds like you are happy in your new home Zuzana. We're getting ready for our fall trip in a few weeks to Florida and Walt Disney World. Have a lovely day!

  18. My birthday is soon approaching and this makes the season lovelier for me. Zuzana, we don't see much change in our part of the world but it is still wonderful to observe this phenomenon throughout the world.

Wishing you happiness and joy in this season which will be the first autumn for you and Peter.

    Joy always,
    Susan

  21. the happiness in your present life will make every season beautiful, dear Zuzana. The way we feel changes the perception of our surroundings.
Fall gives me mixed feelings. Although I appreciate cooler temperatures for my runs and I love the color of the leaves in my daily commute, I detest the slow progression to winter. Once I reach winter, I know the end is near.

  24. Fall is my favorite time of the year, maybe because not that I live in So. California, I don't really get to experience it in all it's glory. Your Fall collage is makes me smile and miss the colors even more.

  27. Lady, Juan Carlos (welcome), Elizabeth, Ash, tony, Hilary, Brian, ladyfi, Colleen, Betsy, Donna, Sandy, Janelle, Becky, adrielle, Sandy, Susan, Rajesh, Jill, Myriam, Ladycat, Zuzu, Joanna, Myrna, Tom, Kat and Angela – yes indeed, fall is here and I love this rich season. It is so beautiful when it comes to colours and to me colours mean so much as I love their vibrant shine. It feels to me at all times as if autumn tries to give us a majestic show before winter arrives, a seasons so barren and totally devoid of colours all together…

Thank you so much dear friends for stopping by and leaving such kind comments.
    Xoxo
