By The Sea.

I love the sea.
I love its versatility. The many faces of the calm or rippled surface, as it reflects the moods of the given day, the change of seasons and the tides of times.
The North Sea is stunning at any time of the year and I will always stand in awe at its shores, which can come across so infinitely tranquil, as they were on my recent walk. Yet, they can also be wild and untamed in winter and fall.

Still, there is nothing so cleansing and revitalizing as the sound and feel of the sea water on a pristine spring day.

  4. Lovely photos. We are not close enough to the sea to visit it here. But back in the UK our home is only 5 kilometres from the North Sea. And it's a lovely place to visit. I miss it. And of course you get lots of negative ions, which are good for you, at the seaside.
Thank you for your comment on my post Little Oasis, I was quite touched by it.
I must remember to show you some photos of the same place on my latest post in the summer, as although it looks brown now, the banks are covered in grape vines and become very lush in the summer.
    Have a great weekend.

  5. The seaside, my favorite place to be. But it is time to get ready for the party after I got the most beautiful postcard today. (Tell you about it later)

The sun is just peeking out after a morning with fog and a drizzle of rain.

Hope you will have a relaxed saturday and I'll see you soon.

  6. I agree, Zuzana, the sea is a place of enormous comfort. Whenever I look to the horizon across the sea, however disturbed its waters I feel a deep sense of awe. Thanks Zuzana.

  7. The best seas are not always in the Caribbean or Indian Ocean, they can be anywhere. Cold water sea has a beautiful sound; much crisper than its warmer clime cousins.

  13. My favorite ocean experience was when I lived in Newfoundland for a couple of years. There were no beaches...but a cragged rocky coast with the Northern Atlantic always bursting onto shore. I used to spend hours sitting atop a cliff just watching the battle between the sea and the rocky shore. The water does something to you.

Your pictures are fantastic and so peaceful.

  16. Such beauty in the sea! Such a beautiful day you have captured! That first big one reminds me of my brother's steely gray blue eyes. :)

I just love being by the water, even more so by the sea with it's infinite depths and hidden treasures. Someday soon I will get to visit that great expanse again... :)

  17. You have captured the essence & power of the sea quite beautifully. What awesome colours. Its motion undercurrents & vastness. wow. Stunning sea, stunning sky as if a veil is slowly being drawn across. Water, can absorb & reflect our emotions, it wouldn't be surprise me if its an equal exchange. Humans, when watching the tides ebb & flow, also absorb & reflect the cleansing nourishing healing power contained within the magnificent nourishing compound that is water. Many things can be dissolved by water, emotions being one of those things :) I find once ti soothes the imbalances, It also is most rejuvenating . Enjoy your gorgeous beaches, skies , seas & horizons. May you be blessed with many many more pristine days & evenings.

  24. The water and the sky there are so blue!!! Just gorgeous. I'm not a big fan of large bodies of water (I'm afraid of water. Silly, I know!) but I think even I would enjoy seeing that. Lucky you that you get to view it every day.

Yes, I truly am much happier these days. I'm sure it helps to get finally be able to get out of the house. I know I'm doing the right thing for my future. I really enjoy all of my classes except for History and I think I'd actually enjoy that much more if the professor had a different kind of teaching style. I've also made some really nice friends too. I don't see any of them outside of class but that's ok, I still have my friends outside of school too.

  31. Ahhh the ocean...I love it too!! It can be a scary body at times (look at what Japan went through!) but it is certainly something I truly love. Especially when it's combined with a tropical feeling and summer! Lovely pictures! I am to go to the beach next weekend (fingers crossed) and I hope to come back relaxed, energized, and with beautiful pictures, both in my camera, and in my mind. :o)
    have a lovely day!

How intriguing that we all seem to love the sea, perhaps for different reasons, but still we all feel a strong unity with this ancient source of life’s origin.

As always, thank you for your lovely visits and your endlessly kind words full of compliments, particularly when it comes to my photography - still nature and the camera are the ones deserving this admiration.;)

  35. Your sea was tranquil the day you took these magnificent photos. It all looks very similar to my own view of the ocean and bay where I live.
Lately, though, as I drive by the ocean everyday, I have a different feeling for the sea after having seen the footage of the tsunami in Japan.
