Once upon a time I knew an Irishman and trough him I grew very attached to everything Irish.
Even though our relationship fell apart, my infatuation with his beautiful country is still today left intact.
I still love a good whiskey, I am still mesmerized by Riverdance, Irish music and that incredibly stunning natural and rugged beauty of the country. And most of all - I still love a good pint of Guinness.
To honour today's St.Patrick's day and the memory of a good man, I decided to once again share with you my favorite Guinness commercial.
I too am a firm believer that indeed good things come to those who wait.
Hear, hear for mr. Ireland!!!!
ReplyDeleteAh yes, being Irish on my dad's side of the family, I will be wearing the green today. And going out to celebrate.
ReplyDeletePatience indeed is a virtue.
Lovely!
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's' Day.
Fabulous music in that commercial.:) It's such a pleasure to listen to!
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day to you! Hope it is a great one for you Zuzana!

ReplyDeleteCool commercial! I love Riverdance...need to watch it again.
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day, Zuzana : )
Happy St. Patrick's Day to you! Enjoy a bit of green today.
ReplyDeleteMy oldest granddaughter takes Irish step dancing lessons. It's fun to watch her clog and kick. She has red hair, so she looks the part.
Funny how in different parts of the world, some non-Irish people remember and celebrate! You in Denmark and me in India. You might like to read this post of mine - http://www.everydaygyaan.com/2010/03/blessing-of-irish.html
ReplyDeleteMmmm... Guinness...
ReplyDeleteI don't like Guinness, but I do love the emerald isle of Ireland!
ReplyDeleteHappy GREEN LUCKY day!
ReplyDeleteMy husband saw the Guiness advert playing and said, 'mmm I love Guiness.' Those Guiness adverts have to be some of the best.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry your relationship broke down. It's good that you can still appreciate all things Irish though.
Happy St. Patricks Day.
may your good things find you...and love me a guinness
ReplyDelete"May you have warm words on a cold evening,
ReplyDeletea full moon on a dark night,
and the road downhill all the way to your door."
Happy St. Patrick's Day.
Sláinte!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I would love to visit Ireland and drink beer in an Irish Pub! Love Riverdance, and Celtic music too!
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patty's Day

ReplyDeleteGuiness is the good stuff and yes, good things do come to those who wait.
Happy St. Patricks day my friend.

"May your laugh, your love and your wine be plenty, thus your happiness will be nothing less."
ReplyDeleteIrish toast.
Enjoy the day.
Happy Saint Patrick's day Zuzana!
ReplyDeleteInteresting good things happen to those who wait. Good line! I hope it's true; I've been waiting for a long time for something good, out of the ordinary, to happen to me. But then again, nothing bad happening is good enough? makes you think, huh?
Or could it be just for the beer ;o) 'cause in that case, I'm doomed: I do not like beer!
have a great day!
That was a lovely note Zuzana. Good things definitely come to those who wait!! Sorry that you guys fell apart. But good to know that you developed a liking for the Irish land.
ReplyDeleteHappy St.Patrick's day Zuzana.
Have fun!!
Cheers,
Sukanya
Ireland is beautiful. I was there last summer but I didn't develop a taste for Guinness. They say it is a taste which is acquired but I didn't acquire it.
ReplyDeleteThis post brought fond memories of last year: the lovely people, spuds, Derry, Seamus Heaney and everything else. I wish I was there.
And Zuzana, good things are everywhere. So sometimes, just don't wait. You might already be possessing it. Cheerio.
Zuzana, a lovely news: I submitted my dissertation finally :) Thanks for your positive energy for me.
Joy always,
Susan
Oh yes, the Irishman. I kind of miss him. Which is funny since I never knew him or even what he looked like.
ReplyDeleteI don't ever do anything to celebrate St. Patrick's Day other than wear green but after watching that video, I want a big old pint of Guiness!
HAPPY ST PATTIES TO YOU TOO Zuzana!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd good green cheer and blessings sent your way:)
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

My very Irish man introduced me to a cold Guinness twenty plus years ago and I was SOLD on the spot! It is also the KEY ingredient to our Shepherd's pie which we heartily enjoyed last eve.
