The sunsets are back.
March signifies the return of the sun - in no uncertain terms. The golden disc has once again returned to my westerly view, setting almost directly in this true cardinal direction.
Last weekend the skies were clear and my windows offered a view of the setting sun, for the first time this year. The event took slightly more than five minutes, although the skies remained light for almost an additional hour - thus the festival of the return of the light has once again begun.
Amazing sunset. Love the progressive series of images
ReplyDeleteGoood Morning Dear Lady, what a stunning sunset & don't they set so quickly. We've had red ones for the last week . . amazing but my camera just doesn't pick them up. The sky will never lose its fascination or beauty. I hope its the return of the sun, clear skies & warmer temperatures too :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a day filled with warmth & sunshine.

ReplyDeleteThe return of the sun in the spring is highly anticipated in Scandinavia, although the celebration is more symbolic. It is first at the time of the summer solstice that the Scandinavians party.;)
I however find the return of my sunsets a reason to celebrate - much more than the longest night in June - as the solstice then signifies that the light is culminating and thus the days will be getting shorter again.
To me rather the onset of March means that the best time of the year is about to begin.
Thank you all for your continuous visits and lovely comments, they mean the world to me.;)
Xoxo
